Hassan Akram Mohamed
Founding Chairperson
Akram championed the idea of establishing IAA Maldives, and created the Internal Audit Community platform, uniting the founding team with a clear vision and unwavering determination. He led every step of the formation process—from early advocacy and strategic coordination to guiding the association through its establishment phase and the successful first election. His leadership laid the foundation of the institution.
Shaun Shareef
Founding Vice-Chairperson
Shaun initiated the CAE platform that became the catalyst for creating IAA Maldives, bringing together leaders and ideas that shaped its beginning. As Founding Vice Chairperson, he supported the Chair in steering the association's setup, strengthening its structure, and ensuring the transition from a concept to a fully functioning professional body.
Ismail Rasheed
Founding EXCO Member
Ismail played a vital role during the early days of the association, contributing actively to its formation and operational readiness. He led the membership registration drive and played a key part in managing and executing the inaugural election process with integrity and precision.
Mujahid Mohamed

Mujahid was instrumental in shaping the governance backbone of IAA Maldives. He led the development of core structures, frameworks, and foundational documents, ensuring the association began with strong systems, clarity of purpose, and accountability from day one.
Mohamed Shifaz Moosa

Shifaz brought essential IT expertise and creative direction to the founding team. He led the association's PR, digital, and design efforts, ensuring that IAA Maldives launched with a strong identity, modern communication presence, and a technology-driven outlook.
Mifzal Adam
Founding EXCO Member
Mifzal played a key role in designing the formal structure for the association's first election. His clarity, planning skills, and process design ensured a transparent, credible, and well organized election framework that set the tone for future governance practices.
Fathimath Shahula Nashid

Shahula fulfilled the crucial functions of a General Secretary during the formation phase, managing administrative processes with consistency and discipline. Her coordination, documentation, and communication support kept the founding operations organized and moving forward smoothly.
