Founding Chairperson

Akram championed the idea of establishing IAA Maldives, and created the Internal Audit Community platform, uniting the founding team with a clear vision and unwavering determination. He led every step of the formation process—from early advocacy and strategic coordination to guiding the association through its establishment phase and the successful first election. His leadership laid the foundation of the institution.

Founding Vice-Chairperson

Shaun initiated the CAE platform that became the catalyst for creating IAA Maldives, bringing together leaders and ideas that shaped its beginning. As Founding Vice Chairperson, he supported the Chair in steering the association's setup, strengthening its structure, and ensuring the transition from a concept to a fully functioning professional body.

Ismail played a vital role during the early days of the association, contributing actively to its formation and operational readiness. He led the membership registration drive and played a key part in managing and executing the inaugural election process with integrity and precision.
