Hawwa Sana

Hawwa Sana is a Chartered Accountant and Licensed Auditor under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives with over a decade of professional experience in audit, accounting, and financial leadership. Her career spans public and private sectors, where she has delivered audit advisory services, internal audit oversight, and financial governance support at a high level.

She currently serves as Manager, Finance & Investment Operation at First National Finance Corporation. Throughout her career, she has led audit teams both in the public sector and at one of the largest SOEs in the Maldives, gaining extensive experience in strengthening internal controls, overseeing risk management, and enhancing organisational accountability.

Sana is a member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives). She serves as the General Secretary and an Executive Committee Member of the Internal Audit Association of Maldives (IAA Maldives), contributing to the strengthening of governance and capacity-building within the profession.

She contributed to the Maldives Accountants Forum 2025, leading key discussions on strengthening internal audit in the Maldives and advancing the role of auditors as strategic partners in governance.

Recognised for her expertise in investment and fund accounting, governance, and internal audit, Sana is passionate about strengthening accountability and elevating the auditing profession across the country.
